looking into a washing machine at fiber being scouredWe wash, or scour (soak), fiber at 140 degrees with Unicorn Power Scour, then spin. Soak again, spin, three rinses, and a final spin. This will remove dirt and lanolin/oils.

 

Fine wools, such as Merino, Rambouillet, CVM, and Cormo typically have more lanolin/oils and require extra washes.
